Very neat; I've always found artillery fungi so interesting. Those little peridioles (spore packets) will launch themselves forcefully into the air when ripe and stick like super glue to any surface.

So if these little things have popped up near where you park your car or next to your home with its pretty siding, all I can say is the black specks do not come off.
