So my wife and I bought a beautiful fiddle fig tree full of leaves. A little over-watering later and most of the leaves have fallen off (hello root rot!). We have taken care of the root-rot problem but now there are several branches without leaves. The tree continues to grow new leaves at the top but we would like it to fill out again. What to do? Do I cut the branches off? Notch them in several places? Trim them back? Is it a lost cause? Thanks for any suggestions!
