Oh not possible here. We can have temps down to -25 to -30 at night. Last winter was not that bad but if I look at my walnut trees, this winter can get cold and long. Better bring them all in the house where they will stay green and even grow a little bit.

I can see why you would not want to grow your outside trees in ground at -25 to -30 One every 3 years we drop below 0F Once every 1000 years we hit -25F.

The first citrus I ever owned was a Persian lime. He is quite tall and buff now with lots of limes - we named him Seth ;-). Enjoy your tree!

I was thrilled when my meiwa bore the first year, although, I literally split the tiny harvest with my husband.

I have no Idea if my persian ( we are discussing a name right now and wondering if it is female? Maybe we will cal her Sheherazade :)) ) will have fruits this year but I would not be surprise if we see some flowers.

Compared to you, mild. I live in Annapolis near the water...7b technically. We may see lows in upper single digits, but rarely. My trees went in late Oct and out early April. I hope to leave them out till Nov this year if the weather cooperates...

more south then me I see. I try to keep my trees out as long as possible but beginning of october is the latest they can stay out. Depending on weather forecast, I just move them to the house wall and cover with a fleece to protect from first frost. They go out again in May. That is a lot of time in the house. I wish I could have a longer growing season.

Do you use lights indoors?
