You can buy AVs at your local Lowe's. You can also buy online. I bought from various sellers on Ebay and from violetbarn.com. Both worked out just fine.

Jack's Violets on ebay periodically sells his starts at significant discounts.

CCV Violetry on ebay also supplies highly discounted starter plants.

I have successfully grown full-grown plants from any and all of these vendors.

I grew Pearl Lake, it was such a nice plant. I lost it during the 9-months-pregnant-with-thrips-on-200-plants purge of 2013. Barb, message me if you would like some leaves for the cost of shipping. Also, email Cape Cod Violets and ask for the new catalog. They have very good prices on supplies.
