Beautiful! One of my favorite roses!

So jealous! My first bloom was so damaged by thrips I could hardly see the potential and with all the bugs I couldn't get a good whiff. Please feel free to post as many pics as you want. It's such elegant and serene looking bloom.

I'm not sure how old yours is vapor and tortoro ? Mine is approximately 4 years old , and huge , and has not stopped blooming since spring. I do hope yours will do the same soon! Right now it is the absolute favorite of the Japanese beetles though . Good lord they stack on top of each other on this one! It's hideous. But the rose keeps making new blooms

Mine is only 2nd year. I read somewhere on this forum that it was a heavy feeder and liked being in a pot so mine is still in a pot.

It has not been flourishing so maybe my pot soil is not good or I should just put it in the ground. Ever since reading about 5111 mix, I think all my pots have too much compost and are not draining well. It is hard for me to find pine fines. I am trying orchid mix.

How big of a pot are you using? Mine was in a pot for a year as well until we bought our house. In the ground it really took off, this year especially.

Good info. Mine is new this year from ARE (as are many of my plants), so it's still tiny. totoro, I mix in orchid mix or compost that's both completely finished and still with some partially decomposed wood with perlite. It really does help the feeder roots grow. Liquid fertilizer at a small dose helps with any nitrogen depletion. They do need to be watered more often. I had yellowing leaves which have been falling off and "we" think it's from too little water. We'll see now that I'm giving them some more frequently.

Beautiful! Mine gets PM also. Not a great rebloomer for me, I'm afraid tho. But then I rarely feed it, so that could explain it...

I think it is in a 3 gallon pot. I probably should use more soluble fertilizer until I get it into the ground. I previously did not know that organics don't decompose well in pots.

Lovely shots. I can never make up my mind which color I prefer overhead. But this one certainly looks good.

Sheila, I can't wait to do that next year. I'm smitten with the blooms thus far. It seems like a rose that wants to bloom!
