3 separate pendants?

Looking to hang over an island. One fixture or 3 separate lights? Cord/chain length? Hardwire or plug?

    By the time of this post hopefully you have found that these are 3 separate lights, ready to plug in to 3 different plugs. There is plenty of cord & chain to work with. I have had them hardwired into 1 unit and am trying to figure out how to separate them out a bit. I do not want them to hit each other since the area where they are being used can get quite breezy. Does anyone have any ideas on how to do this?
