I think you're being too hard on yourself. It's a wonderful space and you've made some great choices! I love the painting in your room. Do you want to change the wall color (when you say stuck on color)? I think what's there is beautiful with your other choices.

I'd probably choose a light, fairly neutral drapery, because of the wall color and rug pattern, but some people here might make good suggestions on a pattern that could work. Are you putting draperies on all the windows or just the door?

Thanks for the kind words! I just remodeled and like the paint colors very much. Ok so you like the painting, thanks I was not sure. Good question, I need shades for the doors due to the hot sun. Tv area and other walls need some decor advice as well.

Beautiful and calm space...so inviting. I don't know if it would work but I think it might close in the space a bit and be more functional if you move your lovely floor lamp to the corner of the sectional. I might also suggest moving all things off your TV cabinet perhaps spike balls to the coffee table. Pouf ottomans are an excellent idea. Perhaps you could introduce another element of texture like a couple rattan or woven drum seating to place under your console table. The windows and french doors pose a challenge due to different size and proximity to each other. I have no pictures to post but perhaps can explain what I think would look nice and not interfere with function and access. For the corner bank of windows I would suggest a loose weave fabric like linen that comes just to the base of the window sill with long yarn knotted fringe. Think hem of a shawl or throw. For the door I would simply install a blind insert or treatment that looks like your shutters. Love the art. Good investment. At this point I would not put a lot of things on the walls. It is a very nice space.

Thanks Christy, I agree it is a calm space. I will move the spike balls to the coffee table and see what that looks like. I like the idea of textural poufs or ottomans and will start hunting for some, thanks! Was hoping to keep the shutters for the windows but need some fabric shades or something for the doors.

C'mon, admit it! You painted that lovely canvas to go in that room! Oh, it so right for your space!

Looks great April. When I was suggesting a curtain for the windows I was assuming you were keeping the shutters and the curtains would help define the space and soften the look. I love shutters! Both door applications you posted are lovely and would work. I would not get rid of the shutters on the windows and lean toward the shutters on doors. Good luck. Again, beautiful space.

The art looks great in your room. Did you try it against the teal wall just to see how it looks color-wise?

You really didn't ask but here goes on the wall color. Have you considered painting the teal paint color on those two beige walls? The corner windows aren't the logical stopping point to change wall colors. Continue the wall color on the walls with console and the TV wall.

Hard to tell on monitors but are there currently 3 wall colors in the room now?

Is the paint color over the FP a different color than on the other two beige walls. It looks like a gray and seems to coordinate with the teal.

It can be hard to commit to painting all the walls in the teal but I think it will work for you. PS: My LR is painted SW Drizzle so quite the commitment. LOL.

You are doing a fine job with all of the other decor in your room so relax and it will all work out.

I really like the art with the console and the red vases. The one thing I would try, instead of rehanging the painting, is move the table to the left a bit, until the taller vase (and maybe the short one, too) is not in front of it. It would put the painting off-center on the table instead of smack dab in the middle, which is what I would prefer if it were my home. Some people can't abide asymmetrical, but I think it would look great with your little arrangement.

I like the color of the accent wall, but something seems off when the corner windows meet and are covered similarly (continuity), but the color stops abruptly between the 2 windows.

I would definitely paint the wall with the art as well as the wall with the tv the teal color. Love what you've done so far.

It looks great so far. Can you hang the artwork and spread some of the color from the artwork throughout the space using pillows, blankets, etc?

Can you mount the TV on the wall? Or a bigger TV? Seems like a good sized room and in the photo, TV looks dwarfed. Love your accessories by the TV and the Painting is awesome!
