Royal Sunset - my favorite climber

This climber has a fragrance that penetrates my allergies so of course I love it. I also love its color change from apricot to pink tones. It's a vigorous grower.

Ann - It's trellis legs rotted (hand built Eucalyptus one) and then a gardener cut the heck out of it. From 12 ft. down to 4 feet. I notice its 2nd flush is not as generous as Compassion's.

Wow that's gorgeous!! I almost ordered it. Don't remember who from, but for some reason I passed on it. Might have to get it to replace the mis-marked HANDEL I got from WalMart. Ended up being another AMERICA. Don't need two of those. LOL

Oh Beth, you don't want Handel unless you spray for blackspot. I hadn't read until recently that it is susceptible. No wonder mine looks hideous for a few months. The small flower size is excellent in my small garden and from a distance it appears as a nice bright pink, combining well with lavenders, apricots and pastel pink. But the Blackspot!
