Look at some photos of Art Deco places in the South Beach area of Miami. There may be some colors there that you could try on your house. The usual colors for refurbished Art Deco places in much of the US are white, white and more white. That's an improvement over the landlady beige that was used to hide their character for decades until fairly recently. Miami places have exuberant bright color accents.

I would get rid of the shutters and paint similar to this or even more bold:)
