what do i ask for if i want the slabs on the ground?

the concrete slabs that make the patio...what do i ask for or look for? thanks.

This is a wonderful yard! I love the garden and layout. Can you tell me, is the water rock fabricated or real? Is it a fountain or birdbath? Thanks!

They are poured concrete slabs

Is there regular grass between the slabs? If so, how do you water especially right next to furniture, or even under sofa, as it appears to be over the grass section.

Yes it is real grass. There is underground drip lines and also the regular lawn sprinklers. Part of the furniture gets wet but dries quickly in the CA sun. The grass doesn't grow under the sofa in that one strip.

Had you considered some type of ground cover there instead?

no because we wanted it to be a continuation of the lawn. The landscape architect had originally wanted to use the small grasses that you see in the background instead of lawn but I like the clean lines of this.

my stone mason carved out a boulder to make a birdbath and yes we get alot of birds!
