Kitchen counter same material as back splash

Is it still in style to run your counter material up for your backsplash so it all matches? In this case I'm doing white cabinets with white and gray veing quartz counters, it's a marble look. I want to to the backsplash the same as the counters, just not sure if that look is in style for 2017. Please help!

I don't know if it's in style for 2017, but it's a look I love. If you love it, do it. If you had to keep up with style in your home, you'd be remodeling every other year. Go with the classics and you don't have to worry about it.

Groveraxle, I love that look! The second picture is basically the same counter I'm doing, but with white cabinets.

It sounds like it will be beautiful. I wouldn't worry about the trends either. Just be sure it's neutral so you can change paint colors and accessories down the road to suit your taste. I love your counter chairs too. I have the same chairs. I plan on using them in my vacation rental too.
