I have the basic Shark Steam Mop and have been thrilled with it. I see there are fancier versions out now and might just give in (though will probably wait until it stops working nicely. had it already about 5 years or so). The only thing that gets a little "unattractive" is how the cloth on the mop really gets filthy and washing it does not seem to help much. I know it's "clean" but it's quite discolored. Every so often i buy new cloths.

All in all though I think the steam mops are terrific!

We lived in an area with very hard water and used distilled water in our steam mop. It kept it from getting gunked up.

I have the new shark. I like it. I use distilled water.

It came with a bunch of attachments. I've never used them.

Confession--I've only used my steam mop a couple of times myself--but it did a great job of cleaning up the remaining mess of dropped watermelon after I got the pieces picked up. (when I had tile floors it got used every 2 weeks--just not by me) :-)

Finally put it together and used it yesterday. Very easy to use, and works well. Definitely worth getting.
