Trim thoughts?

Hi there! We live in a brick ranch house built in 59. I am looking to update the trim. I am wondering what is better:
first picture: door trim 3 in and 6 in baseboard
Second picture: door trim 4 in and 6 in baseboard.
Our living room as 12 ft curved ceiling and the rest of the house is 8ft ceiling.
Any other thoughts on sizes are welcome too!
