I'd stay with something simple in the same metal.... the light you have in the entry isn't modern so best to tie them to be cohesive not necessary to match.

They are a bit modern for the foyer light... however, it's what you like.

Maybe a lantern that is a bit more modern, but not as modern as above? However, I do prefer the first piece by far over the second even if the second worked I'd balk :)

Pattie, what we can see of your home shows a split personality. Parts of it are modern, but that chandelier certainly is not, nor are most of the ones suggested on this page. Your interior slab doors are modern; the panel doors are not. I think you need to change out all the interior doors to slabs, then replace this chandelier as well as find one to coordinate for the stair.

I'd try to stick with something that has no glass as up that high will be a giant pain on the stairs to clean. I have a giant clear glass bell jar light up on the ceiling above the stair landing and taking that giant ladder out to clean it is a total PITA.

Most of the lights I find leaning slight modern in a lantern style as there is often no glass have rods which may pose a problem vs. a chain.
