A person sensitive to bee venom isn't necessarily sensitive to wasp venom.

Yellowjackets become more and more aggressive as the end of the year approaches. Colony members are dying and food is becoming scarce. The good news (for you) is that only the mated queens will survive the year, and those in a sheltered place.

So, because yellowjackets are considered to be beneficial insects, allow them to complete their brief lives by adjusting your pathway until the end of the end. Don't approach them closely.

There are a lot of wasps that are colored like yellow jackets, its probably a different species.
