Can I have it?? It's quite nice! I'd say a different bed cover though in a different color. Not so tucked in. Even an accenting throw blanket folded across in a bolder color would do.

Just noticed the teal lamp, have some things to match that could really add some fun.

Thanks mizzkruspe! You can't see if that well from the pics but there are two light pink pillows cases behind the white ones. I am using a scarf for the moment as the "throw" and agree I need a bolder color! We also have a white west elm duvet for a down comforter, but switched it out for the warmer weather with this lighter quilt. I only tucked it in because I think its made for a king bed and covers the bedskirt:-) I will try untucking or look for another option.

Would it be possible to get a bigger rug? I am thinking it would be nice if you and your beloved had a carpet to step on when you get out of bed.

Diana - These are great suggestions. I had looked into removable wallpaper, however, it was too expensive to do the entire room (and I was wondering if it would make the space too crowded?) Would you recommend papering the wall behind the bed the window?

Very cute room. The bedding is throwing me off... I would like to see a different West Elm ensemble. In natural tones with some pattern. Something that flows with your headboard. Kind of monochromatic, but the pattern gives you the punch. I think this will finish your look and make everything flow. Just thoughts, good luck!

Color Zen - sorry if I wasn't clear - the west elm duvet isn't on the bed right now. This particular white quilt is an ikea purchase (I don't love it either) that I bought for the summer months since this tiny room gets really hot! But I love your idea to look for some bedding with a pattern in neutral tones. I'll see what I can find.

You can do something like that and put your own throw pillows....even the ones you have are great....and then get a cool throw cover that has more color....something bold! And regarding a rug you can get a cool furry one that is bigger.....

Just get a set of sheets in coral and a beige throw for the end of the bed. Then buy 2 extra pillow cases and one extra top sheet. Now put your blanket between the two top sheets and add two more standard pillows. Tuck edges under. That's a large bedroom for NYC! You might have to retire fuzzy pillows.

Yes, exactly the wall behind the bed is a perfect spot for some pattern! It won't look too crowded if you make a minor change: your curtains are hung very wide as I can tell. If you move the brackets closer, more like 2-3 inches from the edge of the window frame (so that your curtains are just a smidge wider than the headboard), you'll be able to see that pop of pattern very nicely.

I like it! Black and white is very versatile. I like that they can provide you with samples so that you can see if it works with the light in your room.

That's lovely, I think it will work very well with the soft tones of your room, and I think it suits your current paint color better than the black.
