There will be a mix of answers, as it will be personal preference based on past performance.

I like to use Dyna Gro Foliage Pro 9-3-6.

If you use a fertilizer with ratios in the NPK similar 3-1-2 multiples.

It is the Potassium (K) which needs to be higher than the Phosphorus (P) opposed to what you may see in Bloom boosters which host high levels of (P).

All are required NPK, but try to keep it close in ratio and Micronutrients should also be listed in formulation.

There are ones like 24-8-16 available and some will put a 3-4 Mths. Slow release on top in the Spring.

I use the Dyna Gro Foliage Pro Rick mentions above every other watering.

Additionally, following Marie's advice i purchased some Color Star Flowering Plant Food, and applied it it a plant that was starting to put out buds. The flowers exploded with growth. I would recommend the product to give plants a boost for flowering.
