Among other plants I got Laura and Darrell from Northern Grown perennials. I think it could give Liberty a competition.

i think i used to know who L and D were ... but it escapes me ... and the library is useless ...

a glorious plant that was on my to die for list for years ... back before TC changed the collecting world ...

back in the day ... handy hatfields catalog started at $250 per piece.. and went up from there ... yikes.. those were the old days ... [what a name.. lol]

Am reading from Hostapedia that it came out of Hatfield gardens in OH 1994 and were named for owner parents.

Question I have - it looks like an eye from mature plant. Do I expect same level of crinkling and dimpling on some of the plant or entire plant will be fairly immature next year?

I am told to put it in some morning sun to keep gold edging coloring.
