For the most part, what's growing and blooming I'd exactly what I'd expect. However, I do have one "shocker."

I didn't plant any petunias this year. The only possibility is volunteer seedlings from last year's plantings. Really surprised that the seeds not only survived a winter on my balcony, but that the seedlings grew to flowering size so quickly. My understanding is that it takes quite long time to get from germination to blooming for petunias. (Actually had blooms last month.) Don't recall what last season's petunias looked like but, with open pollinated flowers of hybrid plants, many things are possible.
