Fig tree looks fine. Now. (Back story) Filled holes with leaf mold compost, epsoma bio tone, worm castings to about %50-%65 a year ago a few figs ripen wild life ate the rest tree did terrible dried out and died. Some copper, purple color leaves before it kicked the bucket. The dead sticks are still there. When the season began this year 3 shoots came from the ground out of the root ball,(I assume from the rootball because figs are now on the shoots) 1st two shoots are 5 feet tall, the 3rd which has only been growing for a month is 1.5 foot tall.

For my Question. Outside of whatever fertilization that was done last year with the leaf mold, Earthworm casting, and Peat moss, that was mixed in the soil a year ago it had no fertilization. I water it everyday. especially in this heat, but no fertilizer.

Should I top dress with a bag of worm castings?

Give Epsoma Indoor?

or Just leave it alone?

Was told our old clay soil was fine for these trees and no nutrients are needed. We have a high Iron and zinc soil as-well as other minerals but NPK Calcium, Magnesium levels in the soil are very low. But again the soil was amended a year ago.
