That's probably going to be about the size of the blooms. There should be dozens of blooms when it is of the right size if that is any consolation. Tuberous begonias come in all sizes so the old adage of buyer beware pertains to everything including plants.

It is safer to buy plants in bloom to know exactly what you are getting but even then it may backfire. For instance, I bought an ornamental peach in bloom with candy cane blossoms long ago but every year after that it only had pink blooms so eventually I cut it down and put a greenhouse where it used to be. I've read and been told to buy Hydrangea 'Snowflake' (the only double blooming oak leaf hydrangea) in bloom to guarantee I have the true thing - glad I took that advice as it is hard to tell the difference among all the varieties of oak-leaf hydrangeas not in bloom.

Thanks for the message. There are more blooms now but they are mostly hanging although I swear the bag showed a picture of "upright" begonias. Anyway, they are opening up quite nicely with a lot of petals as they get bigger so I'm getting happier with the blooms!. Thank you.
