Ony just now seeing your question, pardon me! This stencil was hand drawn on a large sheet of thick paper, like a water-color paper, which you can buy at any art supply store, and then cut out with an exacto knife, and then we sprayed the front and back of the thick paper with a clear polycrylic, and then went forth. Try it!? I also suggest searching 'stencils' and see whats available on etsy for some beautiful, artful shapes and vignettes you can buy ready made.
