Hoya blooms and buds...

Just wanted to share a few pics of my hoyas...a few were taken in June.

Hoya caudata

Hoya patella

Hoya pottsii

Hoya pachyclada

Hoya elliptica

Hoya imperialis buds...will post if and when they open :o)

Hoya Caudata, this one has several buds and blooms

Hoya australis 'lisa' not blooms but love the new growths

Not a Hoya but a new acquision...Mussaenda, love the flowers on this one

Hi Marco, I don't think I've been getting as much rain as you guys...we did however get over 4" on Saturday but the week prior to that no rain for several days...but, I'll take all we can get :o)...Love rain!!

My Caudata took a few years before it finally produced flowers too...worth the wait though.

So beautiful Pug, thanks for showing us. I wish my Caudata could learn how to make those nice fuzzy blooms. That Lisa is awesome, too. We sure are getting enough rain this month in Florida ! Every day. My plants enjoy the extra watering as they are in mostly mulch.

Imperialis looks amazing. Mine tried to bloom last year the but the cool nights got to it. Great growing and what a beautiful abundance of blooms!

is lisa the name for the white pattern on the australis? is it the same if its on a carnosa?

You're doing well with the flowering. Mussaenda are great and come in a number of colours. But they love their water and sulk badly if they start to dry out. Watch it when your weather dries out.

Not sure about why they named the variegated australis 'lisa' but you must be talking about (crimson queen) the variegated carnosa...

Tropic, thanks for the heads up...you're correct about mussaenda loving water. We've had a pretty dry week and I've had to water mine every 2-3 days. Luckily I have irrigation that waters the plant 2x a week. I have it under my large oak trees and it only gets a couple of hours of filtered late day sun...

I've seen the red and white one...this coral/orange pink is my favorite. They are very pretty plants but I will have to protect it from the frost this winter.

so any variegated carnosa is krimson queen? i have 2 different ones (you can see them in my collection discussion) one with white on the outside of the leaves and a habit of popping all white leaves and one that looks like the pic you just showed which i didnt know what to call

They are not all called krimson queen. There is also a tri-color and krimson princess i believe. But there are seriously many variegated carnosas out there.
