While visiting my sister at the beginning of June I admired a Lacecap Hydrangea in her garden from which she generously allowed me to take cuttings. The shrub wasn't huge and I didn't want to denude it, so I only took five, one larger pencil thick blooming stem, and four much smaller, thinner, non-blooming cuttings. I was fairly sure the larger one would be successful, and so it has proved, with a good amount of new growth and some nice roots. The smaller ones, though they obviously have roots are not showing any new growth and now the leaves are starting to turn brown and fall off. Should I give up on them and be happy with the one I've got?
