Mullican Hardwood Flooring DISCONTINUED

Hi! Hope someone has 24 cartons of this stashed somewhere in the United States just waiting for me!

I am looking for Mullican 5" Wide Plank

Chalmette Hickory/Provincial Hickory #12587

This flooring was discontinued in February and I need just 580 sqft to complete my downstairs living room and family room. All other rooms have this flooring and I want it to match. I am not considering trying to find a close match in another brand at this time. I am focused on locating this small batch.

Any suggestions on how to locate are appreciated. I have already called Mullican as well as my local dealers.

Thank you.

Sorry that is not a small batch for anyone to have left over.

@Patricia Colwell Consulting - Hoping for a warehouse or store stash, not an individual. Thanks.

Mullican is made here in Johnson City. Have you contacted them to see who bought the last of the stock?

I did try that and Mullican was kind enough to give me the name of the distributor. However, as a consumer the distributor would not talk to me. I had a contractor friend call, who was strongly encouraged to set up an account. They did give her the information that I wanted, although unfortunately not good news. I'm afraid I may be out of luck. Still planning to call a few more metro areas though.

    Thank you, everyone, for responding!

Elisa, did you ever find this? I’m in the same situation. I need 375 sq ft of this same product. I’m trying to match it and haven’t been able to find anything close enough. There has to be something similar out there but I’m having a terrible time trying to match the color, texture and finish in any other product.

    Katie,

Unfortunately, no. I called distributers and manufacturers. You are exactly right about the color, texture and finish. I tried to find a match. The match would have to be extemely good, because there are three doorways where the original would meet the new. Everything I found was just a little bit off in one of the catagories that you mentioned. Sorry I don't have better news. Hindsight is 20/20 - we should have sucked it up and done the entire downstairs at once.

    Hi,

I'm new to this thread, and am having a similar issue. Still awaiting a call back from Mullican regarding possible 5 cartons of

Mullican Chalmette Handscraped 5" Ebony Oak

Any luck in finding additional cartons of discontinued products?

    Thanks!

    No luck.

I found something close enough to try. The rows on the left with the blue tape are the new product. The part in front of the door is the Mullican discontinued product. The new product is Armstrong/Bruce Eagle Nest color engineered hickory.

It’s 3/8” thick whereas the other one was 1/2” so my contractor floated it to make it level. The color is not *exact* but it is a pretty close match for texture, sheen and bevel. Color is close enough that I don’t think anyone will notice once it’s all in. Or at least that’s the hope!

I am in the same boat and have had no luck...anyone find any left anywhere?

I custom matched this flooring on our kitchen remodel and have extra if anyone is interested in purchasing. We had a manuf custom match and stained to match. Much cheaper and easier.
