My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

Finished Dresden quilt

I finished this modern-ish Dresden plate quilt in January. Just realized I never posted the finished pics here. About an year ago I asked for suggestions on how to use a number of floral prints that I got from my aunt who brought it from a non-profit that she volunteers at. Someone suggested Dresden plate. At that time I was not very fond of the traditional Dresden plate quilts but the design grew on me the more I explored. Rather than make all the blocks the same size, I made them different sizes, different types and different wedges.

I sent it for long-arm quilting - just an overall design that looked like a Dresden flower. This would've been a good quilt for custom quilting but it was expensive for this size.

    Oh, wow, that's so creative! Dresden Plate isn't my favorite, either, but your treatment is really nice.
