Do I stop watering after it blooms?

Very exciting. Can't wait to see what it looks like. Curious how big is your plant and how old is it? Is it in pot or in-ground? How have you been protecting it during past winters?

Thanks Andre. My Plumeria is about a meter tall in a container. I bring it indoors for the winters but it doesn't lose any leaves.

Green, when you say indoor, is it garage or in your home? How old is the plant? Sorry for the questions but just trying to learn and gather as much info for best growth bloom since you are in CA. Thanks.

I leave it in my kitchen where it's warmer than the garage during the winter and it's maybe about 2 years old. This is my first Plumeria and everything's been a great learning experience.

Green, thanks for the response. Yeah, it sounds like you had a great experience to get bloom so quickly. What do you use for soil/fertilizer?

I use normal potting mix with a fertilizer high in phosphorus.

Nice. I live in London and my potted plumeria has begun to flower too. Only on one branch, though. I am looking forward to seeing what colour it is and also to the fragrance.

Thanks Andre. I got it last March in Madeira and it was in a tiny 4'' pot and very root bound with no leaves. You don't see these at all in the UK and I had been looking for one but here they are very expensive. This specimen was only a few euros.

Wow! Please share soil/fertilizer as you did a great job growing it to that size.

I used peat free compost with around 20% perlite. General granular and liquid fertiliser plus seaweed plant tonic. I'm bringing it in for nights now hoping the inflo will stay on track.
