Constant Pressure Controllers and irrigation

I have a well (50gpm) with a 2HP 20gpm submersible pump. The pump is controlled by a Constant Pressure Controller.

The guy at irrigationturorials.com recommends tapping somewhere between the well and the tank. I just called the person who installed my pump, and he said that since I have that controller, I should feed my irrigation from a source after my tank. He said the pressure will be stable (no ups and downs) and that might not be the case if I tapped before the tank.

There is a pressure gauge right after the tank and it reads 60psi. I can fill a 5g bucket in 25 seconds from an outdoor hose bib.

Does anyone have experience with these constant pressure controllers?
