Miele ADA vs regular dishwashers

Dear all,

My remodel is going swimmingly (I will write a long post with my experiences and a reveal, when it is all finished). As always, this community has been a constant source of information, ideas, and support. Thanks!

Since we are vertically challenged, we wanted lower height counters. Therefore, we went with 34" cabinets, which were installed on the sub-floor. After the tile was installed, the opening of the dishwasher niche reduced in height to 33 1/4" (34" - 3/4" tile). However, note that tile was not installed inside the niche so the height inside the niche is still 34".

I looked at the specs of the Miele dishwashers and realized that the height of a regular dishwasher is 33 11/16" (with a suggested minimum niche height of 33 3/4"). I am now not sure if a regular dishwasher will fit.

I started looking at the ADA compliant models and see that they typically are 32 1/16" high with a suggested minimum niche height of 32 1/8".

I am wondering what the differences are between the the ADA and regular models in terms of functionality and features, based on real-world usage. I understand that this is a topic that has been discussed a lot here, and there seems to be consensus that the middle rack is slightly shorter. Does this matter much in real life? Should I try to find a "creative" way to install a regular one or simply go with an ADA version.

In particular, here are the four models I am considering:

G 6915 and G 6835 in the regular dishwashers and G 6880 and G 6560 that are ADA compliant.

Thanks in advance for your help and wisdom.
