I loved our floor when installed but now that it has dried the grout is too light. Will putting a sealer on it help to darken it at all?

We've since been told that you should pick a grout two shades darker than what you actually want. Since we purchased the tile and grout from a tile store and they helped us pick out a shade that matched our tile exactly, I would think they should have mentioned this if it's true.
