What it the soil like?

What does "watered appropriately" mean"?

How did it look when you got it?

Do you see any sign of a healthy green new leaf bud?

We need more information.

But clearly, something is really, really wrong..., these are actually normally very robust palms!

Coastal Georgia. Soil is sandy loam, watered approx. 2.5 gallons weekly. It looked healthy when I purchased it. There is still a center core that is green, but as every new frond opens it turns brown.

Not enough water..that was probably very root bound and needed to be watered at least every other day..and good waterings until it started to grow.

It dont look too good..but soak it,mulch it. They might come back.

I'll do that Stanoff. Thanks for the advice. We've had a lot of rain, but evidently not enough to go along with my weekly watering.
