I wanted to do an edit, but it won't work. The 6th picture is erythraeae . I have had this plant for 5 years. I don't think it has ever lost a leaf. Very slow growing.

Holy crow, Barb, you do not mess around when it comes to growing monster plants! Any larger and you will be able to open your own business! Lol. All absolutely beautiful.

Barb they look great!! I love being able to get them out for the summer too. My variegated masoniana suffered badly this winter (I tried them in a different location) I hope to get growth back it is one of my top favorites. All of yours look great!!

I think we all have setbacks once in a while. I hope that masoniana takes off again for you. Mealy bugs havebeen my downfall in the past year. Hopefully, I have killed them off! I think the summer outside in a protected spot is the very best thing we can do to rejuvenate them. Happy growing!

Wow! these are what I might call Specimen Sansevieria. Nicely grown Ms. Mock! Besides water at the right time (and maybe a little Omocote fertilizer?) one of the things I noticed that allows your plants to thrive are large, deep, roomy pots. I see your Parva 'white' is doing well!

Barb, always loved your well kept plants. Mine took a beaten this past winter. Just now starting to look good. This summer has been way too wet and cool. I hope it doesn't spell a very cold winter coming.

Hi Stush, We have had a wet spring and summer here in Georgia too. I have only watered my sans 2 or 3 times. The rain has done the rest. It's hard to know when to water in the winter, too little and they shrivel, and too much and they rot! I hope they all make a good recovery for you.

Stush, they all look beautiful to me. Looks like we have some of the same varieties. I always worry about them in the winter. They really love the heat of summer. Do you still grow Forescate? I think that one must be a challenge. I had one you sent me for a year or more, but eventually it just dried up. We all win a few and lose a few!

They are on the east side of the house in summer, so morning sun. I have a bunch of them under an umbrella too. In the winter they are mostly In the east windows. I am so looking forward to moving them outside again. They do most of their growing outside.

What are your observations - when they grow better, in the season or in winter ?

Because I noticed that my grow better in autumn / winter period :) Apparently too high temperature inhibits their growth. How do your plants behave ?

esa321 sorry to budge in. My opinion is that they love the summer heat. They store up energy in the summer light/heat and begin forming those big underground rhizomes which often "pop" out above the soil surface at the end of summer through fall.

Yes, Woodnative is right. They love the heat, but need some protection from full sun. Those pups coming along in the fall got off to a good start in the summer heat.

During the heat of summer, sans drink up more water. Remember to water more often. I found my Bantal's Sensation drowning in water with no ill effects. That's summer time only.
