I am a science special education teacher and am looking to grow plants with a hydroponic system. We don't have much room in the classroom, so I'm thinking a vertical system. I want the kids to build and maintain everything. Can someone give me a good rundown for a first timer or recommend a book?

how do I check the pH, what pH should the water be at?
grow light recommendation?
