Arachnis flos-aeris
Originally I was led to believe this orchid was Arachnis limax but after more research I'm inclined to believe it's Arachnis flos-aeris. My flowers are consistently 9 cms whereas those on the net are variously described as being 7 to 8 cms or on other sites to 10 cms. Colours and patterns do vary as well.
It's the usual old story, bought some of these in flower years ago but then had trouble trying to get them to flower again. They multiply so easily from cuttings I've got lots of them now. But found out later they needed a lot of full sun so I set some up on 3 posts bound together. Over a number of years they stated to form a single flower spike and then more. This year there are 11 spikes. Now I have to replicate more of these set ups. Sometimes it takes time to find out what the best conditions are.
