The season is ramping up with vigour now.

I am collecting wildflowers and tree seed for my woodland, summer annuals for the allotment and a range of perennials just because (free).

Very impressive Campanula!

Just collected my first balloon flower seeds. They seem to take forever to mature. While there is a great joy in the blooming flowers, there is also a great satisfaction in harvesting the seeds from those flowers.

I tried growing balloon flowers from seeds before, no luck. Richard, what color is your balloon flowers?

Mine are purple. They've bloomed like crazy this year. I typically dead head them so they will keep blooming. These are the first seeds I've harvested from them. So I don't have any experience in growing them from seed. I may not have any luck either.

I think I read that they reseed themselves. It may be one of those seeds that need stratification. You may not have enough to share this year, I will hit you next year:-)

Harvested Rock Rose, which produces four little seeds per bloom. Started harvesting woody salvia. It's usually one seed per bloom, so it takes a little longer to get very many seeds. I also have to find a way to differentiate all the various shades of reds and pinks. Any ideas?

My 4 oclock are producing lots of seeds. I just have to find time to collect them. The hyssop are also in need of caring. So much to do, so little time.

I don't usually collect seeds, because I don't seem to have good luck with seeds, more of a propagating by cuttings person, BUT I had some veggies for the first time in a long time and have collected Georgia Flame Pepper, chocolate Habenero, Orange bell pepper, and seeds from a couple of tomatoes I got at the Raleigh Swap. One was labeled cherry. Tomatoes are yellow and small, but all my tomatoes have been a little bigger than a golf ball. There was also a striped one that was flavorful so I saved some seeds from it.

I do have a really large pod on my Black Gamecock iris and am eager to see what I get from it!

Haha countrygirl. I am on the other hand obsessed with seed collecting. I do cutting as well, but not as successful. I really need to get better with it. I also would like to get into grafting next.
