This is beautiful. Are you going to change the wall color? Have you added LED under cabinet lighting. I do not agree with bellburg on adding crown. This is a very common way to space the cabs in relation to the ceiling.

@bellburgmaggie - Yes, there is crown, however the original measuring person didn't measure the ceiling height or something and the crown didn't fit after install. They are customizing pieces now to fill the gap.

@sandradclark - The wall color is what we chose for the rest of the house, since we are remodeling every room slowly, we will adjust as we get the other rooms together. We were looking for a bright color as house is very dark. We will add the LED and back-splash this week. AND, yes! I love it. It is the most wonderful thing to have a kitchen again and not have to eat out.

More updated look for sure, would love to see the finished photos once the custom crown molding is done!

Are you going to add any window covering? What about stools at the island? Great update!

@Doorbuy, LLC. - Not sure about window covering. The window looks over the pool. Definitely adding barstools after we bring the tile all the way through the living room. My electrician also recommended adding pendant lighting at the island and the sink but I need to choose them still.
