Lovely home with nice curb appeal. Do not paint would be my position. Your home is currently what so many people are trying to achieve by adding natural wood. The best way to determine what you should or should not do is look at recent sales in your area note style, condition and price. We have sold eight homes in five states without ever having a sign in our yard longest time on the market was a bit over a week. We did as suggested above made sure everything was clean and fresh and most importantly priced for the market. Good luck and happy selling.

It looks great from the distance shown in this photo. Leave it unless the wood is in really bad condition. Even then, the wood would have to be repaired, filled and sanded before painting.

What is the story with the white railing in the front? Can it be removed? Just looking at the photo it looks out of place and is a distraction from your great home.

Leave it natural. If you are concerned that it will "weather" into that ugly rotten look, just put a clear protective coat over it.

I would not paint it. If I was a prospective buyer, the wood would not deter me from buying this house. It can always be painted, but once it is painted.... I just think it's better for a buyer to have that choice.
