I've moved it to an oversized brandy snifter with plastic wrap on top. My tentative plan is to open the plastic more each day to slowly acclimate it. I spritzed it with distilled water in a spray bottle when some of the moss on top turned pale. Other than that I haven't messed with it. I'm keeping it under fluorescent lights for now because it was on a dark lower shelf at the store. I want to get it outdoors while the warm weather lasts but didn't want to shock it to death.This is my first CP since childhood. I killed at least one Venus Fly Trap as a kid and remember my sister had an equally doomed Cobra Plant. I've had this Nepenthes for two days and so far it's not dead. I've been reading here and other forums, so I know mine is likely to be N. ventrata rather than the ventricosa indicated on the label. I also knew from my reading that this was the only houseplant of the lot. The assortment included one Sarracenia purpurea and about eight VFTs.
