LG refrigerator - Help with replacement procedure

I'm looking for someone with similar experience to guide me on the best way to proceed with LG--

-Bought $3K fridge 2.5 years ago

-Stopped cooling completely 2 months ago

- no errors, no obvious "broken" parts

-repair tech out about 6 times in 8 weeks. replaced board, fans, freon, thermostat. all else is working properly.

-Tech says it is a sealed system issue which can't be fixed. after they replaced above diagnosed every possible issue that it COULD be, but isn't. They say LG should replace it.

-Warranty is 1 yr parts and labor. 7 years sealed system, compressor, evaporator (parts only)

LG has told the tech already they didn't think this would be covered but once he has completed all possible repairs he is to speak with LG tech and they will then determine what they will do. I am worried they are preemptively setting me up to be ripped off.

The final visit from my tech should be this Friday and I want to be prepared.

I feel that $3K for a fridge should last more than 2.5 years! And the problem IS an internal, sealed system issue. What is the best way to interact with LG to ensure they do the right thing and replace the Unit? Any tips or processes I should follow, your experience that worked for you? Any other options to consider IF they do try to cheat me?

And for the love of all things its been 8 WEEKS! I want the problem to be taken care of already! I believe it is very reasonable that they should replace a $3K fridge after 2.5 years and after I have spent repair money and done everything possible to fix it. Thanks!!
