I agree, they are pretty amazing. I've seen (and smelled) A. titanum in bloom before...most recently just this week, so my discovery was a little extra special.

Yes, if there's one thing I learned when I was first introduced to their relative plants, sauromatum venosum, these plants are multipliers. Sometimes I believe they are shooting out corms at random in the soil!

Yeah, they're. cool plants. I got a few bulbs a few years ago. Every year I forget about them and end up finding them popping up in some random plant because I've used the soil from the previous season. This species is relatively cold hardy too. I think to zone 7.

Roughly 8 to 9 weeks.

Here in 7a I grow this as a garden plant. After 12 years I now have a fairly large clump of about 2 dozen nice plants which have superb foliage, all from one tuber I started with. Never gets large enough to bloom but each year returns and grows up to 3-4 feet tall on the largest ones. Seems to just pop up in early to mid July and of course drops over at the first frost in October or November
