Want to paint pendant globe

I scored a couple of beautiful pendant lights at a Recycle Store for a very good price (turns out they are still for sale and at a pretty penny to boot). I took care of minor scratches to the metal rods with some rustoleum oiled bronze spray paint. It looks awesome. My issue is the globes. They are narrow and are perfect for the pendant. As I was cleaning them, what I thought was dirt was actually a scratch on the coating on the inside of the glass shade. It is small but I know it is there and it will show when the light is on. Should I spray paint the interior of the shade? If so, what do I need to use and how do I prevent screwing it up. I really do love these fixtures and I want to handle this correctly. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
