FYI: This is a very slow, almost inactive forum.

I'd suggest you make this same posting at the African Violet forum, as I'm sure some of the growers there would have experience relating to your question. I haven't posted there in yrs., but they're a helpful bunch.

If your lighting is right, they can do well.

There is a lot of good info here on this forum but, unfortunately, perhaps because of the space terrs tend to take up and/or because terrs don't typically get a lot of overhauling once setup -- once folks are done with setting up their terr they often don't pop in regularly.

Do a search on this forum for African violet(s) and you should get some hits.

AVs do fine in terrs as long as lighting is sufficient, they aren't overwatered, and there is decent air circulation.

The "not liking water on their leaves" is a crock/fallacy/myth that refuses to die. What do people think AVs do in the wild? Carry umbrellas? Cold water that remains on the leaves for an inordinate amount of time can lead to issues, but good air circulation and using room temperature water (70s F) fixes that generally.
