Not a lot blooming that I haven't already shown lately. But the chickies were interesting this morning before I left for work.

Elvira was sitting on the rice-straw bale that Henrietta and Gertie had burrowed out a bowl in the top of a few weeks ago. They've all been taking turns laying eggs up there. Petunia apparently wanted to lay her egg there as well. Elvira was not going to get off there for anything!!

Elvira's sister Morticia was sitting in one of the nesting boxes waiting for her egg to come, and Petunia did go in and try to get her off there too, but Morti bit her on the neck and kicked her out!

Meanwhile, Elvira was squatting to drop her egg...

She dropped a big huge jumbo egg. I tried to get Petunia to go up there before I left, but she ran off. I assume she jumped back up there later because there were 3 eggs there when I got home, and one was a small one. The new ladies are still laying small eggs.

Lulu was hangin' around in the coop before I left, but I don't know if she laid an egg or not. There was only one blue one in the box where Morti was when I got home.

Annabelle was just hangin' out outside the coop...

Ezzie is so cute... but she's my biter. I have to be careful around her.

Gertie has the biggest tail of all my girls. Both she and her sister Henrietta are apparently moulting a little right now. Their necks look like they've been plucked! Henrietta looks worse tho...

I just love my girls!!
