When I lived in Florida the Hahnii were all planted on the north side of the house and did wonderful. Had Pineapples on the south side, lol!

OK, so are we agreeing that the Hanii needs less direct sun? Its colors faded in direct sun. The cylindrica also faded to yellow in direct sun and grows a deep green on the sheltered porch with morning only sun. The tall trifasciata is in full sun and has some leaf burn but maintains healthy with good color overall.

Note I am in zone 13 ... No winter and very red hot burning sun in the Caribbean on the equator. Also, very heavy rainfall.

I have my golden Hahnii out in full tropical sun & haven't noticed any adverse effects.

I need to add to what I said. The green on mine has never been super-vibrant. So maybe I'm not a great comparison. Probably closest to your climate though.

That's what makes Sans a great house plant. It adjust to almost any light. Full bright is best. Direct only if grew in it and is well adjusted and even in poor light it does well as you noticed on yours.

Oh, so the one that grew under shrubs and is very green should remain in low light, right? The others, which my aunt gave me from her covered porch, should just remain on a porch under similar conditions, right? I thought all Sans could be acclimated to full sun.

Will mist with Epsom salt solution (1 tablespoon to a gallon of water) for the magnesium to see if that washed out coloration greens up. If not, will just remove older leaves as new ones come in.
