Black shutters with a light gray siding and white trim I can't see the door though

The white works but the shutters should have an Uniform darker color. I don't think the burgundy will work on the brick side as well as it does on the white. Black or charcoal would be classic but a deep gray blue would work with white or light grey.

The only problem with the darker shutter on the front, is just that. I would love to brighten the front up.

We had planned to paint the siding a fresh crisp white. I love the idea of a bright yellow door, it's currently wine like the shutters now. Possibly a "greige" on the shutters could work.

One more question. What about the soffit? The painter insists it should be a lighter color than the rest. Thoughts?

Do the soffit and the trim the same color but if you are doing a white siding you can't get any lighter than that .
