Lavender Star Flower

So I was wondering if anyone had information regarding a Lavender Star Flower tree selling at Lowe's in Phoenix. Size? Ok for western exposure and how do they grow here in Phoenix in general.
It is in small tree form currently about 4 feet high wrapped around a wooden support stake.
