One of my favorite roses..... David Austin 'Leander'. I had one in my garden for many years and trained it as a climber on a freestanding obelisk. I was always surprised it did so well... with very little winter kill... despite the fact I provided very little winter protection. However, the winter of the Polar Vortex, it died back to the ground and never really rebounded. So... Out it came. I replaced it a couple years ago and was thrilled to have 'Leander' back in my garden again. But, like so many DA roses, it began to show signs of RMV within the first season. That doesn't seem to slow it down too much. It still shows good vigor and blooms throughout most of the summer. It has a wonderful fruity fragrance, and the color is simply divine!!
