I wondered around outside in the eerie light too.

I remembered this from the partial eclipse in texas in the 80's or late 70's So it didn't surprise me this time. I think many people miss it because they are only focused upwards. That forget to look down. The eclipse shadows are never mentioned in the literature I read.

It was a special day, even if we only got 60 something %.

Now I just have to stay alive 7 years for the total eclipse over my house.

I think that is just the coast to coast one..........................the one in 2024 is predicted to come from Mexico into Texas and right over the heart of it..........................should include the DFW area as well.

I get it . I am west of austin 30 miles. SA gets maybe 99.999%. darn it. Maybe places in North SA.

There is a annular eclipse in October 2023 that goes through Leaky, Midland Hobbs NM , Chaco Canyon , Bisti Badlands , Canyonlands and beyond.
