Propagating hoya with a peduncle?

last modified: 8 years ago

Has anyone tried to propagate their hoyas with a flower peduncle on it? Do they tend to stay attached and rebloom eventually?

I'm asking because all of the healthy vines on my hoya have peduncles.. (poor me, right?)

The vines that don't have peduncles are yellow and lightening/appear nitrogen deficient, so my plan was to fertilize the plant in hopes that the yellowing sections recover, while propagating from healthy vines. How does this sound? BTW, it seems like its a lacunosa if that helps.

I'll try to post photos soon. Thank you!
