Obviously not in SC but nandina have good tolerance for a shaded location. Can even grow in full shade, although fall/winter coloring will be better in more sun than less :-)). Especially with Firepower, as its late season color is its only redeeming feature.

Not to be a smart butt, but did you mean "obviously your not in SC" ? Because if 2 -4 hours ia enough to get some,color change you would make my day! Ha

It might depend on the time of day - morning sun is far less intense than afternoon sun. 2-4 hours of afternoon sun might do it, whereas 2-4 hours of morning sun might not. For this particular cultivar, where its late season color is really its only good feature, I'd place in as much sun as you can manage.

That's good to hear, this spot is afternoon sun. I have another spot that gets more sun but it will be next to ES hydrangeas and not sure that would look good together ?
